X-Ray Services
We offer digital X-rays on-site for convenient, streamlined treatment. You won’t need to travel elsewhere, or wait in pain for hours. Not to mention, our services cost much less than a visit to the Emergency Room. We are happy to coordinate with your Primary Care Provider or chosen specialist to help manage any follow-up treatment.
When do I need an X-ray?
If you visit our clinic with an acute injury or illness, our medical team can assess your condition and determine whether you need an X-ray.
Need an X-ray for a possible fracture, broken bone, or joint dislocation? Symptoms of the affected area may include:
- Significant pain
- Swelling
- Bruising
- Deformity
- Tenderness
- Difficulty moving and/or bearing weight
The provider may suggest a chest X-ray if you are suffering from problems involving the heart, lungs, and ribs. This helps to diagnose conditions such as pneumonia, a collapsed lung, broken rib(s), or emphysema. Symptoms include:
- Chest pain
- A cough that won’t go away
- Persistent shortness of breath
- Gallstones and kidney stones
- Bowel obstructions
- Acute appendicitis
- Renal artery stenosis
- Kidney failure
- Cirrhosis
- And more
The X-ray Process
Getting an X-ray is simple, and requires no special preparation. We recommend patients wear loose, casual clothing and remove all jewelry. Please make sure to tell your technician if you are pregnant, or may be pregnant.
An X-ray exam will usually take about 15 minutes, but the duration may vary. The technologist will position you on the exam table, and give you instructions. In most cases, we take multiple images of the affected area to ensure that all angles are covered. It’s our goal to make you feel at ease, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions.
